First Bath!

Bath time before and after! She loved it. We loved it.

She is 4 days old and we are so in love with our baby girl! She makes the cutest faces, sounds and movements. We of course think she is the most beautiful lil thing ever! God has truly blessed us. He answered every prayer and in a much better way than we could have ever asked or imagined. His plan is always so much better than ours.

Well folks...the baby is in the building! We are so excited to have her here! Berkley came at 1:02pm on Thursday, Feb.11th. It was a long labor but delivery was quick and overall everything went well. She weighed 7lb 5oz at birth and is 19 3/4". We take her home today (Saturday) and she is right at 7lbs. She is doing great so far. B and I are sleepy of course but hanging in there.

We have had lots of wonderful family and friends to see her already and look forward to having Berkley meet many more family members and friends.We got some pictures and tried to remember to take them with visitors but of course forgot sometimes. I've posted some pictures to introduce our lil girl to the world.

For those of you that didn't know we named her Berkley Bridget Brewer. We of course both have B names and kinda went with it. It is totally a mouth full, as are our names already, but now we have done it to our child too! Hopefully she won't mind to much. Her middle name, Bridget is after B's older sister who passed away in October of 1993. We wanted to honor her in some way and we think Berkley will be a great bearer of the name!

Thank you for all the sweet comments, well wishes and prayers during the pregnancy. We are so thankful for all of those who helped us get to this wonderful new time in our lives.

37 1/2 weeks, bring on the baby!

Well other than a pillow and a couple more things to hang the room is done! Bedding is in, clothes are washed, diapers put away, curtains are up(awaiting their pull backs)and even though she won't be in her crib for a few weeks it is ready with clean sheets for when her time in the bassinet is over. We technically have 19 days till her due date arrives, even though I am still hoping for a tad earlier, but whenever she comes, we can't wait for Berkley to be here! I have a huge basketball(or maybe two) pulling at my back and I feel huge. It is so werid to look at myself and realize I have baby in me. I realize by now I should have accepted it and come to terms with it all, but it still boggles me. Really, it does. Even with the room, the kicking, the weird body stuff going on, I can't comprehend that we are going to have a baby in a couple weeks. Me and a baby. Oh bless.









On a fun note...Berkley enjoyed her first night of LOST tonight. How frustrating and excting it all was. So many new players and questions and twists. I love it.
